The fifth edition of the Sustainable Planet film festival was a great success
On June 7th, I organized the Sustainable Steward Award Ceremony at the Eco-chic restaurant Rouge Tomate.
What great fun that was and the room was filled with sustainability entrepreneurs, diplomats, educators, members from the non-profit community, press and creative people galore!
In the spotlight were the three laureates Almudena Fernandez for the Lifestyle Award, Katherine Gass for the Art category and Emmanual Verstraeten for the Food category.
The attendees were pleased with the fabulous wines offered by the Artisan collection and the unique appetizers created by Rouge Tomate.
The next day, on World Oceans Day, we screened several thought provoking movies at the Gabarron Foundation and the favorites were the documentaries FRESH and CLIMATE CHANGE: the victim’s story.
Our speakers were great and added the interactivity we needed as to motivate the audience to adopt sustainable lifestyles. I also introduced my five agenda items that are the basis to my every week can be Earth Week workshop. The goal is to reduce meat intake, become more energy efficient, connect with nature, reduce trash and increase movement leading to more fitness. Some of my attendees are applying this program in their lives and I am happy to share some testimonials:
