Belgian chic meets ethical and eco fashion as environmental economist and sustainability expert Pamela Peeters presents her third tv show: “Earth-A-Wear!”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“The fashion industry is perfectly positioned to not just dress your wardrobe but also your consciousness and well-being,” says Award Winning Pamela Peeters “and this new television series mixes it all, from presenting twelve fasion designers, introducing exquisite sustainability mentors, to treating its viewers to a one hour fashion challenge.

The concept developer, writer and producer Pamela Peeters - also known for producing and hosting the Sustainable Planet film festival for the past five years – follows, according to Marisa Belger from MSNBC, “a philosophy that’s accessible to everyone from the hardcore planet protector to the person who has recently begun thinking about the environment.”  Pamela is convinced that “Earth–A-Wear” will showcase what sustainable fashion looks like, what is really eco and socially responsible and aims at raising awareness in both your wardrobe and your purchase list. The visually striking, entertaining and educational picture presented through this new format is the one where the consumer not only looks good but also feels good, because he/she is wearing fashion that has a smaller impact on the environment and is at the same time ethical, because all the people involved in the Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of the product receive a fair wage.”

- CURRENT TV AND MORE -

The pilot of “Earth-A-Wear“ was filmed and produced mid August with a group of six talented people and a 60 second sizzle was cut for Current Tv (Al Gore’s tv station) as to enter a Samsung Tablet competition. The 90 million viewers to this tv station have the opportunity to discover this sizzle since last week. Two other nationwide tv stations – who embrace green lifestyle transitions and mentoring as their cornerstones – are approached for distribution as well.  The “Earth-A-Wear” preview will also be shown during Climate Change Week and an event, re-enacting the 12 challenges as a live performance, is expected to hit town in November. At that time, the 2012 “Earth-A-Wear” calendar will be released.
